WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGE ABOUT TALKING TO A COUNSELOR AND NOT A FRIEND?
Discussing your problems with a trained counselor who is a stranger has many benefits. As I do not have a personal relationship with you and do not have preconceived notions about you, I can provide an unbiased perspective when examining the situation and listening to your story. When we interact with family and friends, our conversations often involve sharing experiences. Have you ever shared a story only to have a family member or friend say "I know what you mean" and then take over the conversation with their own experience? This won't happen in counseling. Unlike with family and friends, I am trained to address the root of your issue and help you achieve the outcome you desire
WHY TALKING TO A THERAPIST?

Those who choose to go to therapy are not crazy: they are simply curious enough to have asked themselves a few questions.
As a counselor, I help people explore their inner world to understand what lies behind the behavioral or emotional patterns that are driving their life.
The knowledge of oneself, of one's behavioral mechanisms, is in itself priceless.
Usually, many of these mechanisms are those that prevent the emergence of all the potential of the individual; they also affect situations (sentimental, friends, work) over and over again, in the same repetitive way.
In a session, we might explore a particular event, a behavioral pattern, or emotional reactions.
This exploration can bring insight and comprehension about yourself and your difficulties to move forward and live a more fulfilling life.
